BA WFC Reserves lifted* the LLFL Cup at a soggy Concorde Centre on Saturday with a 7-2 win against Norsemen. Two ahead at the break, BA were pegged to 2-2 with two goals from Norsemen's scoring ace Grainne McLaughlin before pulling clear again.
(* "lifted" in the sense of "imagined lifting", said trophy being in a different county at the time. See the Cup Final page for details
Meanwhile, let's not forget that Battersea Casuals went unbeaten through the season to win the League.
Leading scorer went to BA WFC's Rachel Brown, who added two Cup Final goals to finish with 17. Congratulations to Rachel and to Runners Up Amelia Conti (Brixton) and Grainne McLaughlin (Norsemen) with 9 each. The full roll of honour is on the Goalscorers Page. Have a look at the end of season Stats too.

Tackle Africa
Were you part of last season's marathon? We're trying to put together a feature from the LLFL perspective ahead of this year's event (see below) and would welcome your memories and pictures of the event.
TACKLE AFRICA LONDON FOOTBALL MARATHON 2012
We support Tackle Africa - please click the banner to visit their website (opens in new window). The date for their 2012 London Football Marathons (mixed and women's) has just been announced as Saturday 7 July and they're gearing up to raise more money for this most worthwhile cause. Several LLFL stars took part last year and we'll see if we can get some memories from them for you.
Remember that the ethos of the LLFL is FRIENDLINESS. There are no fines, no yellow cards, and no arguments! If one team turns up with less than you, lend them a player. If their coach is reffing the game, don't argue with him. We are doing this for fun!
